Aleksandra Albu, or also known as Alexandra Albu, is a Moldovan-born Russian mixed martial artist. She went to represent Russia after several years of training in Moscow. She has a personal MMA record of 3-2-0 (W-L-D).
Alexandra Albu was born on July 14, 1990, in Vulcanesti, Moldova. She has competed in karate, crossfit, and bodybuilding competitions.
Alexandra Albu made her professional MMA debut on June 29, 2013, at OFC – Octagon Fight Club versus Lyubov Demidova. She won by TKO in Round 1. After the successful start, she signed with UFC and was expected to make her debut in December the same year, but was forced to pull out due to a knee injury. Alexandra Albu returned in the octagon on April 11, 2015, at UFC Fight Night 64, winning versus Izabela Badurek by guillotine choke submission in Round 2.
In July 2017 after a two-year hiatus, Alexandra Albu returned to UFC with a match against American fighter Kailin Curran and won by unanimous decision.
Following the third consecutive win in the professional MMA, she stopped fighting for almost two more years. Alexandra Albu returned to UFC on February 17, 2019, at UFC on ESPN 1 – Ngannou vs. Velasquez, losing from Emily Whitmire by rear-naked choke submission. After that, Alexandra Albu faced promotional newcomer Loma Lookboonmee on October 26, 2019, at UFC on ESPN+ 20. She lost the fight via split decision.
