Angela Patrice Hill, also known as Angela “Overkill” Hill, is an American MMA fighter who competes in the strawweight division of the UFC. She was former strawweight champion at the Invicta Fighting Championships, as well as a former World Kickboxing Association champion. She has a professional MMA record of 13-9-0 (W-L-D).

Angela Hill was born on January 12, 1985, in Prince George’s County, Maryland, USA. Before becoming a professional fighter, she worked as an animator in animation studios and as a bartender. Angela Hill is also a video gamer and cosplayer. She is known as the first African American Female UFC Fighter.

Angela Hill made her professional MMA debut on April 26, 2014. She took part in the USFFC 18 – Metal and Mayhem event, fighting versus Stephanie Skinner. Angela Hill won the fight by TKO in Round 2.

On December 12, 2014, she debuted in the UFC, fighting versus Emily Kagan at the UFC – The Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale. She won by unanimous decision. In June 2015, she took part at the UFC 188, fighting versus Tecia Torres, but this time losing by unanimous decision. A few months later, she returned in the Octagon and fought versus Rose Namajunas at the UFC 192, losing by rear-naked choke submission in Round 1. Following, the bad started of her UF career, she was subsequently released from the promotion.

In November 2015, Angela Hill announced sighing with the Invicta FC. She made her debut in the championship on January 16, 2016, fighting versus Alida Gray at the Invicta FC 15. She won the bout by KO in Round 1. In 2016, Angela Hill had three more fights versus Stephanie Eggink (won by KO), Livinha Souza (won by split decision), and Kaline Medeiros (won by unanimous decision).

On February 4, 2017, Angela Hill returned to the UFC. She took part at the UFC Fight Night 104, fighting versus Jessica Andrade, but lost by unanimous decision. In July 2017, she fought versus Ashley Yoder at the UFC – The Ultimate Fighter 25 Finale, winning by unanimous decision. Later the same year, however, she registered another loss from Nina Nunes at the UFC Fight Night 120.

On February 24, 2018, Angela Hill won her fight versus Maryna Moroz at UFC on Fox 28, but on August 25, lost from Cortney Casey at the UFC Fight Night 135.

In 2019, she had four fights – versus Randa Markos at UFC Fight Night 148 (lost by armbar submission), Jodie Esquibel at UFC Fight Night 150 (won by unanimous decision), Xiaonan Yan at UFC 238 (lost by unanimous decision), and Ariane Carnelossi at UFC Fight Night 159 (won by TKO).

In 2020, despite the coronavirus pandemic, Angela “Overkill” Hill had another four bouts at the UFC – versus Hannah Cifers at UFC Fight Night 166 (won by TKO), Konklak Suphisara at UFC Fight Night 168 (won by unanimous decision), Claudia Gadelha at UFC on ESPN 8 (lost by split decision), and Michelle Waterson at UFC Fight Night 177 (lost by split decision).

On March 13, 2021, Angela Hill on her fight versus Ashley Yoder at UFC Fight Night 187 by unanimous decision.

Angela Hill was scheduled to meet Amanda Ribas on May 8, 2021, at UFC on ESPN 24. However, on the day of the event, Ribas was removed from the bout due to COVID-19 protocols, and the bout was canceled.
