Ashley Yoder is an American mixed martial artist (MMA) and competes in the Strawweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). She was on The Ultimate Fighter back in 2016 she didn’t win the show but was able to join the UFC afterward anyhow.
Ashley Yoder was born on October 20, 1987, in Indianapolis, Indiana, United States. During her high school years, she was involved in cheerleading, dance and competed in track and field. She started training MMA just after her 18th birthday. She only fell in love with mixed martial arts after she had her first fight.
Ashley Yoder made her professional MMA debut on February 1, 2014, at Gladiator Challenge – Uprising. She won her fight versus Catalina Madril by armbar submission in Round 1.
Following the great debut, in 2014 and 2015 she made several fights at BAMMA USA, three wins (versus Misha Nassiri, Liz Tracy, and Angela Danzig) and one loss (from Maria Rios).
On November 18, 2015, Ashley Yoder debuted in Invicta FC, where she faced Amber Brown and won the fight by armbar submission in Round 2.
Ashley Yoder competed in strawweight card under Joanna Jedrzejczyk’s team in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in April 2016, produced the reality television series The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 23. She took on Jodie Esquibel in Round 1 and she edged over Esquibel and won the fight via split decision. Ashley Yoder moved on to face Kate Jackson on Elimination Round and she lost the fight via unanimous decision. However, she performed great and won a contract with the UFC.
Ashley Yoder made her UFC debut on December 9, 2016, at UFC Fight Night: Lewis vs. Abdurakhimov in Albany, New York against Justine Kish. She lost the fight by unanimous decision. She registered two more losses in the next fights – from Angela Hill at UFC – The Ultimate Fighter 25 Finale (by unanimous decision) and Mackenzie Dern at UFC 222 (by split decision).
On November 10, 2018, Ashley Yoder took part at UFC Fight Night 139, where fought versus Amanda Bobby Brundage and won by split decision. On June 22, 2019, she registered second UFC win versus Syuri Kondo at UFC Fight Night 154 after a unanimous decision.
After that, Ashley Yoder registered three more losses (from Randa Markos at UFC Fight Night 162, Livinha Souza at UFC 252, and Angela Hill at UFC Fight Night 187), as well as one win (versus Miranda Granger at UFC Fight Night 182).
