DeAnna Bennett

DeAnna Bennett is an American mixed martial artist who now competed in the Flyweight division of Bellator, while formerly was fighting in Invicta FC. She is known with the nickname “Vitamin D”.

DeAnna Bennett was born on November 18, 1984, in Fremont, California. She wrestled for American High School before graduating in 2002. After a short amateur MMA career in 2011, she turned professional in February 2012 for Showdown Fights.

DeAnna Bennett made her professional MMA debut on February 24, 2012, at Showdown Fights 6 – Breakout event. She won her fight versus Andrea Miller by TKO. She registered three more wins at Showdown Fights – versus Julianna Pena (by unanimous decision), Sharon Jacobson (by unanimous decision), and Colleen Schneider (by rear-naked choke submission).

DeAnna Bennett made her Invicta FC debut on September 6, 2014, at Invicta FC 8, where she defeated Michelle Ould by TKO in the second round. In her second fight for the promotion, she faced Jennifer Maia on December 5, 2014, at Invicta FC 10 and won the fight by unanimous decision. DeAnna Bennett next faced Norma Rueda Center on February 27, 2015, at Invicta FC 11 and again won the fight by unanimous decision. On September 12, 2015, she registered her fourth consecutive win in Invicta FC versus Katja Kankaanpaa by unanimous decision. Thus, she built an unbeaten record of 8 fights in the professional MMA.

DeAnna Bennett registered her first loss on January 16, 2016, at Invicta FC 15. She lost the fight versus Livinha Souza by TKO. her next 2 matches in Invicta FC were also unsuccessful – losing by the split decision from Roxanne Modafferi (Invicta FC 16) and Jodie Esquibel (Invicta FC 22).

In August 2017, it was announced that DeAnna Bennett would be one of the fighters featured on The Ultimate Fighter 26. She was selected seventh by coach Eddie Alvarez and faced Karine Gevorgyan in the opening round, winning by TKO in the first round. In the quarter-finals, DeAnna Bennett faced Sijara Eubanks losing via first-round knockout.

She had 4 more fight at Invicta FC – two wins (versus Karina Rodriguez and Miranda Maverick) and two losses (from Karina Rodriguez and from Miranda Maverick).

DeAnna Bennett made her Bellator MMA debut on September 11, 2020, losing from Liz Carmouche by rear-naked choke submission.
