Mariya Agapova is a Kazakhstani MMA fighter, who currently competes in the flyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Her professional MMA record is 9-2-0 (W-L-D).
Mariya Agapova was born on April 7, 1997, in Kazakhstan.
Mariya Agapova made her professional MMA debut on August 29, 2015, at WFCA 8 – Irtysh Battle. She fought versus Yuliya Ivanova and won by unanimous decision. A year later, she took part in the same event and registered her second victory versus Dariya Kutuzova by rear-naked choke submission in Round 1.
In 2017, Mariya Agapova took part at Brave CF 6 – Kazakhstan, Fight Nights Global 72, as well as Fight Nights Global 82, recording three more wins versus Yulia Litvinceva (by TKO), Yulia Kutsenko (by armbar submission), and Liliya Kazak (by split decision), respectively.
On July 30, 2019, she took part in Dana White’s Contender Series, facing Tracy Cortez. She lost the fight via unanimous decision. However, this fight brought her a pass to Invicta FC, where she signed the same year.
On September 6, 2019, Mariya Agapova debuted in Invicta FC – Phoenix Series 2. She faced Alexa Conners and won the fight via rear-naked choke submission. On October 4, she added another victory to her record, winning versus Marilia Santos at Invicta FC 37 via TKO in Round 1.
Mariya Agapova signed with the UFC in February 2020. She debuted for the championship on June 13, fighting versus Hannah Cifers at UFC on ESPN 10 and won via rear-naked choke submission. On August 22, 2020, she recorded her second loss in the professional MMA, losing by TKO in Round 2 from Shana Dobson at UFC on ESPN 15.
