Veta Arteaga is an American MMA fighter, who competes in the flyweight division of Bellator MMA. She has great grappling abilities and won several awards on this.
Veta Arteaga was born on November 7, 1987 in Boise, Idaho. She began her martial arts training in 2008 and began competing in the grappling competitions, winning titles in the Northwest Submission Challenge and earning medals in NAGA Utah and Grappler’s Quest.
Veta Arteaga made her professional MMA debut at Front Street Fights 8 on February 13, 2016. She won the fight versus Ashley Deen by split decision.
Then she signed with Bellator, where debuted at Bellator 155, winning the fight versus Jackie Vandenburgh by unanimous decision. She had one more fight in 2016, at Bellator 161, where lost by a split decision from Anastasia Yankova.
In 2017, Veta Arteaga registered a win versus Brooke Mayo at Bellator 172 by TKO and a loss from Bruna Ellen at Bellator 182 by split decision. In 2018, she had two wins – versus Emily Ducote at Bellator 202 and Denise Kielholtz at Bellator 205 (by attractive guillotine choke submission).
On April 27, 2019, Veta Arteaga fought versus Ilima-Lei Macfarlane at Bellator 220 but lost by TKO in the third round. On December 20, 2019, she registered another loss from Alejandra Lara at Bellator 235.
